Union boss gave protesters Abbott's location

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has verified a single of her staff members passed on details about Opposition Leader Tony Abbott's whereabouts to a union official who in change reportedly alerted rowdy protesters on Australia Day. She mentioned media adviser Tony Hodges, who resigned on Friday, told Unions ACT secretary Kim Sattler that Mr Abbott was at an official operate at a restaurant in Canberra.
Aboriginal Tent Embassy activists say they rushed to the restaurant right after Ms Sattler instructed them Mr Abbott was inside of. They were enraged by remarks Mr Abbott had built before in the day.

Aboriginal chief Barb Shaw states Ms Sattler advised her about the place and mentioned she could inform men and women if she needed to.
But she claims people were previously heading toward the restaurant prior to Ms Sattler spoke to her.

Ms Gillard said her previous staffer's steps were unacceptable.
[Mr Hodges] is a tough doing work man or woman, he is a decent man or woman, he has recognised that he has created an error of judgement and he has compensated a very big price tag for that error of judgement,  she explained.
Aboriginal Tent Embassy spokesman Michael Anderson says Ms Sattler informed him on the day that the Prime Minister's place of work desired to talk to him.
All I can say is that someone set us up, they set the Prime Minister up, they set Abbott up, and they realized emotions and feelings were jogging large right here,  he explained.
I assume they knew that response would happen. 
Ms Sattler has not been accessible for remark.

'Made me furious'

Tony Abbott can phone for what he likes, the acceptable motion has been taken, this was an unauthorised motion for the person involved and it was stupid, but he is compensated the cost,  he stated.
Mr Crean states the resignation was suitable given the situation.
